Join other women-identified leaders in financial co-operatives from around the world, in an event supported by the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions. Session 1: Worldwide Foundation Day: GWLN Forum Session 1: Accomplice, ally, advocate. The 3 A’s to narrow inequality gaps for women.
In many cultures, one can find that the compensation and advancement gaps are somewhat slowed due to a variety of reasons by women themselves i.e. aversion to risk; prioritizing family, etc. – do you find similar issues impacting such advancement for women as well, or what are some of the factors that influence these advancements in your part of the world. An international leadership panel will discuss the business case for the economic empowerment of women, taking a closer look at challenges and obstacles women have experienced in terms of promotions, growth and advancement, as well as international best practices through a panel- style discussion.
Session 2: Worldwide Foundation Day: GWLN Forum Session 2: Strengthen Your Leadership Empathy Muscle
How can you strengthen your leadership empathy muscle in your community? Studies show that high-performing leaders tend to have higher Emotional Intelligence than their peers. Learn what this really means and how an organization can help its leaders excel in EI. A session with an EQ-i certified speaker talking about using empathy, the art of listening, other factors in the process of making intelligent decisions for your credit unions/cooperatives, tools used and how emotional intelligence is perceived in your communities.
Session 3: Worldwide Foundation Day: GWLN Celebration/networking event
Join GWLN to recognize the GWLN scholarship winners, congratulate the Athena Award recipients, greet old friends and welcome ones as you connect with your pink-powered GWLN community in a virtual reception/happy hour!
