Description:

The webinar will explore the latest research published under the International Cooperative Alliance(ICA)-EU Partnership for international co-operative development, which provides survey results from young people in 20 countries, including primary insights from young people on questions of employment, education, inequalities, entrepreneurship, and engagement. The speakers will address how the co-operative movement can improve levels of youth engagement and better support young people. In the context of new and daunting challenges for younger generations, it’s time for a bold and renewed role for young people at the movement’s forefront.

Coops4dev ICA-EU Partnership Research team – Speaker biographies
JEFFREY MOXOM is a Research Coordinator at the ICA, under the ICA-EU Partnership for International Development. He currently works on a number of research initiatives on international co-operative development, including co-operative statistics, co-operative law and sustainable development. He studied Politics at the University of Leicester and Environment, Development and Policy at the University of Sussex.
MS. SIMREN SINGH works as a Program Officer with ICA Asia and Pacific under the ICA-EU Partnership for International Development. She oversees research and serves as the Secretary of regional committees on women and co-operatives in educational institutions. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
MELVIN KHABENJE holds a master’s in International Relations with a focus in Development Studies and a BSc in Economics. He is currently in charge of the research projects under the ICA-EU Partnership within the ICA Africa regional office (Nairobi).
