WEBINAR: Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow

The ICA Gender Equality Committee (GEC) has the pleasure to invite you to join us for the webinar “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” that will take place Thursday 31 March from 14:30 to 16:00 CET. 

The webinar will be moderated by the GEC’s chairperson Ms María Eugenia Pérez Zea,  and it will be divided into 2 segments:

Speakers will be invited to share with the participants what their organization does/could do to support women in leading the fight against climate change. Perspectives could be focused on how gender equity could be achieved to further address the adverse effects of climate change, especially on women, through policies and programmes that create a level-playing field for cooperatives

Each representative will share with the audience their reflections and opinions as regional representatives on how to build a sustainable future based on gender equity while reflecting on the interconnectedness amongst women’s rights, gender equality and climate justice.

During the webinar, we will talk about the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are in charge of climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all.
