Let’s face it, some organizations have done some amazing events online during the pandemic and one of them is the Sustainable Economies Law Center with their #Coopalooza event in September 2021, which was focused on ” exploring our vision to redistribute wealth and power and dismantle the oppressive dominant economic system by creating more worker controlled enterprises. Nearly 300 people came to our events; we hosted over a dozen partners, collaborators, and panelists; and we grew our imagination as to what a world where work is governed and controlled by workers might look like. ” (theselc.org).
Not only was the event a space where people got to celebrate worker co-operation, worker ownership but they also took the opportunity to inspire new people to pursue this way of organizing/working. Further, they generously have offered their conference materials for free – including recordings, slides and even a guide.
